A mere 22-year-old man, wearing a dark suit and a beret, sits on a plane flying from St. Petersburg to Paris. It is 1961, Rudolf Nureseev is not yet a famous idol, an icon, for now, he is a member of the Kirov Ballet Company, a young man who for the first time in his life leaves Russia.

Parisian life stuns him, sinks in culture, art, music and everything that has to offer this extraordinary, never-fading city. That is why the KGB officers look at it with more attention, and look suspiciously at the friendship between Nuriejew and Paris, Clara Saint. So when a young artist receives a shocking order, he decides to take a step into the unknown. A step that will put him and his family in great danger. "White raven" is an unusual journey of a man who changed the face of ballet forever.

The story, inspired by the book by Julie Kavanaugh "Rudolf Nureyev: The Life", tells the story of young Nuriejew, one of the most famous dancers in history, his famous escape from Russia (1961), attempts to stop him by the KGB.
