The new film by Luka Guadagnino ("Insatiable", "I am love") is a sensual story about the gusts of first love. Northern Italy, summer 1983. Elio Perlman, a brilliant seventeen-year-old of American-Italian origin, spends her holidays in a seventeenth-century villa, composing and playing classical music, reading and flirting with her friend - Marzia.

He enjoys every moment spent in the villa, especially as a companion has his father, a respected professor specializing in Greek-Roman culture, and mother Annella, a translator who teaches the boy to enjoy the culture and nature of Italy.

Elia's talent, education and talent give the impression that we are dealing with an adult, fully formed man, yet many things must still be learned - especially in a foreign sphere of his own - love. One day, Oliver arrives at the villa, a young American scholarship holder, working with his father Elia on his doctorate.

In the main roles we will see an international cast, including Armies of Hammer, Timothée Khalamet, Michael Stuhlbarg and Amir Casar.

The film was nominated for the Golden Globes in three categories: the best leading actor (Timothée Chalamet), the best supporting actor (Armie Hammer) and the best film.

The film won eight nominations for the Critic's Choice Awards, six nominations for the prestigious Independent Spirit Awards, two National Board of Review awards, the New York Film Critics Circle Award, two Gotham Independent Film Awards and dozens of nominations and awards at international film festivals.

I like to think that the movie "Those days, those nights. Call Me By Your Name "closes the trilogy of films about desire. They also include "I am love" and "Insatiable." While in those films lust led to possession, they talked about regret, the need for freedom, so in this film we wanted to focus on the extraordinary beauty of the idyll of youth. Elio, Oliver and Marzia are in a tangle of youth and love. It was aptly described by Truman Capote - "Love knows no geography, knows no borders."

But this film is also my tribute to the fathers: my biological father and those who instilled in me the love of cinema - Renoir, Rivette, Rohmer, Bertolucci.
