Moonee is six years old and a crazy smile, and she spends days outside the home with a pack of friends. House in their case means the Magic Castle motel, from the outside reminiscent of a fairy tale palace. But in rooms that you rent for hours, you will not see a princess. They live here for a variety of weirdos, life losers and earning the lowest domestic cleaners. Moonee, disregarding the circumstances, like an explorer from an adventure novel, wanders around the wasteland as if it were the densest jungle and devises another trick with his friends. Unaware of the increasingly risky steps her mother must take to pay for the next week, Moonee is the happiest child in the world. It is almost as if she was drawing energy from the nearby Disneyland leaning over the horizon.
